Greece's Historic Xenia & Ilios Hotels: Revitalization Through Public-Private Partnership (1)

The first public-private partnership tender for the development of Tourism Ministry properties, and in particular the three historic Xenia and Ilios hotels, is entering its final stretch.

The joint ministerial decision was sent by Minister Olga Kefalogianni to the Ministry of Finance and is expected to be signed and published in the coming weeks.

The aim is not only to develop the ministry’s property but also, above all, to upgrade the infrastructure of public tourism education. Successive tenders will be announced soon for the long-term lease of hotel facilities in Anavyssos (Attica), in Iraklio (Crete) and in Peraia (Thessaloniki).
